14 Dec Farewell to John Haynes, friend, coach and mentor to many
Last Thursday the Liverpool City Region and Business Community awoke to the sad news that our beloved friend John Haynes had passed away.
Visionary and founder of The International Coaching Academy, John was a Coach and Mentor to thousands of people during his amazing life. His personal mission was to help and inspire a million people. He believed that your meaning in life was to find “the music inside”, your own special gift and spend the rest of your life sharing that gift with everyone. John helped thousands of us do this and he certainly did that himself during his life. The tome of daily tributes and personal messages since his passing, stand testament to that as does the legacy of his work at ICA.
A personal friend to me, John helped me through some of my darker times and he coached and mentored me through one of the most impactful learning experiences I’ve ever had, the ICA Master Coaching Programme. Similarly, John championed and trained our tpm Leads, teachers and trainers over the years. Ironically, today is the anniversary of our Accelerated Learning Course with John at tpm (see photo below). John always asked how our business was developing and genuinely wanted to know about certain staff and learners that he had worked with, that’s how he was. He was especially delighted to visit our new learning centre and offices this summer and during the launch, his wife Linda said to me “… he wouldn’t have missed it for the world”!
John was a master of acknowledgement; he left everyone with a smile and feeling better about themselves. For me he was a cross between a father and the big brother I don’t have; I loved him, and I know he loved me. Irreplaceable but never forgotten – John’s lifelong work is his legacy and in this, he lives on: https://www.internationalcoachingacademy.org
