Changes to remote delivery
From Monday 8 March, all tpm learners should return to centre-based education. The Government’s Department for Education guidance has expressly stated that learners “will attend their FE provider in person and will undertake the majority of their planned hours on site.”
System of Control
tpm continues to adhere to a strict system of controls. In this way, we maintain a safer environment for learners and staff, where the risk of transmission of infection is substantially reduced. The recommended methods for controlling this virus’s transmission remain essentially the same, even with the current new variants. Following revised guidance, we are strengthening the measures further to provide more reassurance and decrease additional disruption.
Actions and points to note
- Please refresh your knowledge of our Covid-19 Policies, Risk Assessments and Guidance.
- Please continue to follow and engage with the NHS Test and Trace process. Remember you must not come into the training centre if you develop Covid-19 symptoms and or you are self-isolating
- The Government has provided colleges with home-testing kits for learners and encourages the use of these. Please ask us if you require a home-testing kit.
- Face coverings should be worn by staff and learners when moving around the premises, in corridors and communal areas and in classrooms or workshops where social distancing cannot easily be maintained, except where exemptions apply. The requirement to wear face coverings in classrooms will be reviewed after Easter.
Support and reassurance
As always, tpm leaders, teachers, trainers and support staff are on-hand to advise and support you with your learning and progression. If you have any concerns whatsoever, please ask us. We are looking forward to welcoming you back and to working with you in person again!
