Claire is a consultant and researcher with over 20 years’ experience of adult learning and development work. She has worked in the UK and Europe supporting the development and roll out of national adult learning initiatives.
Claire’s particular focus is on adult literacy, numeracy, language and ICT (adult literacies) and she has specialisms in vocational training and offender learning. Claire has written articles and quality improvement guides/ case studies on adult learning and curriculum development.
Claire has also supported and coordinated teacher-training projects for a wide range of contexts. tpm staff have benefitted directly from pilot and development work that Claire has designed, authored or championed.
Claire is passionate about equality and inclusion; she has collaborated on initiatives to raise literacy within minority groups and foster equality for learners with a wide range of needs, styles and preferences. She is an advocate for active learning and the use of new technologies and has a strong track record in quality improvement across all adult learning sectors.
