Louise Hazley

Learner Support Coordinator

A bit about me
I went to university after finishing school however I soon realised I wasn’t suited to the learning environment. I got a job in a nursery and went on to do an advanced apprenticeship in childcare with tpm. I’ve got experience of working with children of varying ages thanks to working in the nursery where I climbed the ladder to supervisor and SENCO officer. I have since been with tpm for 11 years, firstly working as a childcare assessor and then learner support co-ordinator and functional skills lead.

The qualifications I hold are L4 PTLLS, A1 assessor’s award, L2 equality and diversity, maths, English and ICT, and L3 dyslexia recognition and analysis.

My job role
My role at tpm involves listening, supporting and enabling young people to achieve their qualification and career aspirations. My aim is to make learners aware that additional needs are not a barrier in education and that they can achieve whatever they put their minds too. As a qualified tutor and assessor I am experienced in helping identify individuals’ needs, learning styles and support requirements. We use a whole range of methods and assistive technologies to do this.

My Interests
Spending time with my family and friends and having quality time with my two children, having days out and going on family holidays.
