A bit about me
I did a degree in English literature and language followed by a PGCE. I’ve broadened my skills to teach maths and IT as well as English. I started out as a volunteer tutor in a community centre. Since then I’ve had four teaching jobs, including this one at tpm for the last 3 years. A lot of tpm’s learners are employed or on placements with community-focused businesses. I interact with these companies as part of my job role and it’s something I really enjoy – there’s always a greater sense of reward when learners achieve in organisations with good ethics.

My teaching style
It’s important to me to provide my learners with lots of support and encouragement. I make sure they feel comfortable and confident about learning and developing at their own pace, and in ways that suit their needs.

My interests
Football, reading, cinema, travel.
