tpm is recruiting for a new apprenticeship vacancy at Townsend Medical Centre in Anfield.

Specifically, this is a front of house reception role in an NHS medical centre for a friendly individual with good interpersonal and organisational skills. You should be able to follow instructions carefully and have a polite, friendly nature. You will work as part of a team.

The apprenticeship includes professional training, so you will develop the administrative skills needed to perform well in your job. Your training will be provided by tpm who will also help you prepare for your interview.

Duties

• Reception duties including dealing with face-to-face enquiries
• Also dealing with internal and external calls and e-mails
• Supporting a safe and healthy workplace
• Photocopying, filing, scanning
• Updating patient records
• Managing doctors’ diaries and appointments

 Qualification acquired through apprenticeship

• Level 2 Standard in Customer Service
• Functional Skills Maths and English; where the candidate doesn’t have GCSE at grades A-C (9-4) or the equivalent

• Good work ethic
• Good at listening to instructions and carrying them out correctly
• Confidence to carry out all duties once taught
• Good at using initiative
• Able to perform all duties correctly and on time
• Punctual, professional and polite

Applicant: desirable personal qualities

• GCSE grades A-C (9-4) or equivalent in Maths and English
• Experience in a working environment (office work preferable but not essential)
• Experience dealing with the public by phone or in-person

Progression prospects

Successful recruits who prove themselves in their job role and complete their apprenticeship may be able to continue their training on a higher level apprenticeship.

Hours

Monday-Friday 9-5 pm (37.5 hours)
